tried clicking the previous picture(below)...in a different light!

am still not sure how better i could have framed this,
but retaining the colored lights at the background and close cropping makes it a little more catchy than the previous click i guess..

Lord Ganesha
also known as Ganapati, Vinayaka, and Pillaiyar,
one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon.

Photo clicked in macro mode, without flash,
light source~light bulb right above the miniature idol..

Had tried capturing with light from different angles, being a crystalline object the light glow beneath the idol looked bettter...

  1. Good attempt of table top. But I am afraid you should have done a lot of work on lighting. The two innovative light works on the top and bottom of the subject is interesting. But it is not working that much to capture the viewer. The subject itself is in dark, which give negative marks to the picture. Take the picture again with different light sources of different powers caste on the object. Please do not mind. I am only trying to help you improve.

Instead of going B&W, y dont u try only the blue component in the pic...i.e Click the pic, in color, then try tweaking the RGB components....
That wud be more pleasing to the eye! just a suggestion!
